Healthy For Life - 30% allocation - This
category includes programs that proactively improve health and
wellness by fostering transformational change in individual or
community behaviors. The ideal grant in this category would
impact mind, body and spirit. We seek to provide seed money to
innovative, trailblazing programs that will draw other funders
as the programs become established.

Healthy Jewish Community - 25% allocation -
This category includes programs that support social or human
services that may be unrelated to healthcare but that foster or
maintain a vibrant Jewish community.
Examples include:
-Jewish education programs
-Rent
-Utility or car payment
-Transportation to Jewish communal social activities
-Spiritual counseling
Areas Funded
- Programs, services, research and education that address a
particular community need
- General operating costs
- Seed money for innovative programs
- Capital equipment, preferably if it serves as an integral
part of a new program or enhances an organization's
operations
Areas Not Funded
- Proposals that require implementation
by the Foundation
- Brick and mortar costs
- Political campaigns
Grant Proposals Amounts
and Judging Process:
There is neither a minimum nor a maximum for which grant
proposals may be submitted. Proposals will be judged on one or
more of the following criteria:
- Advances the concept of Healthy for Life
- Best meets a specific donor interest
- The significance of the healthcare need
- The benefits that result from implementing the request
- The overall impact on the community
- The number and types of people served
